1. Understand the performance of the product and distinguish whether it is toxic or not. This mainly depends on what material the plastic is made of, whether plasticizers and stabilizers are added to it or not. The plastic food bags, milk bottles, buckets, kettles and so on sold in the general market are mostly polyethylene thin plastics. They feel lubricated by hand. The surface is like a layer of wax, which is easy to burn. The flame is yellow with wax dropping, and the odor of paraffin. This kind of plastic is non-toxic. Industrial packaging plastic bags or containers, mostly made of polyvinyl chloride, containing lead salt stabilizers. When touched by hand, this kind of plastic sticks and is not easy to burn. It extinguishes when it leaves the fire. The flame is green and the weight is heavy. This kind of plastic is poisonous.
2. Don't load oil, vinegar and wine with plastic products at will. Even the white translucent bucket sold on the market is non-toxic, but it is not suitable for long-term loading of oil and vinegar. Otherwise, it will easily cause plastic swelling, oil oxidation, and produce harmful substances to human body. We should also pay attention to the wine, not too long, too long will reduce the aroma and degree of wine.
Especially noteworthy is that do not use toxic polyvinyl chloride buckets filled with oil, vinegar, wine and so on, otherwise oil, vinegar and wine will be polluted. Eating and using can cause pain, nausea, skin allergies, and serious damage to bone marrow and liver. In addition, we should also pay attention not to use buckets of kerosene, gasoline, diesel, toluene, ether and so on, because these things are easy to soften and swell plastic, until cracking, damage, and cause unexpected consequences.
3. Attention should be paid to maintenance and ageing prevention. When people use plastic products, they often encounter such phenomena as hardening, brittleness, discoloration, fission and performance degradation, which is plastic aging. In order to solve the problem of aging, people often add some antioxidants in plastics making to slow down its aging speed. In fact, this has not fundamentally solved the problem. In order to make plastic products durable, the main thing is to use them properly, not to expose to sunlight, not to rain, not to roast on fire or heating, not to touch water or oil, etc.
4. Don't burn waste plastic products indiscriminately. It has been mentioned earlier that toxic plastics are not easy to burn because they emit black smoke, odor and toxic gases, which are harmful to the environment and human body; after non-toxic combustion, they also pollute the environment, affect human health, and cause various inflammation.
Therefore, there is no need to retreat from plastic products, as long as the method is appropriate, it will not damage human health.
